Project Manager II – Large Projects
Our client is a leading construction company specializing in a wide range of projects, including complex and specialized ventures. They are seeking a skilled and dedicated Project Manager to lead a portfolio of large, specialized construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and timeline objectives are met.
Responsibilities- Project Planning and Initiation:
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and specific requirements.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and procurement strategies.
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies and constructability assessments to determine the most efficient approach.
- Project Execution and Management:
- Lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and specialized tradespeople.
- Coordinate procurement, scheduling, budget management, quality control, and safety compliance.
- Implement project controls and reporting mechanisms to track progress and address deviations.
- Provide expert guidance on technical aspects to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify work specifications, resolve issues, and maintain a safe environment.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships.
- Understand client needs and collaborate to exceed expectations.
- Provide regular project updates, promptly addressing concerns to ensure satisfaction.
- Stakeholder
Collaboration:- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and specialized subcontractors.
- Foster positive working relationships to ensure seamless coordination.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, implementing cost control measures.
- Monitor financials, forecast expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with the finance department for accurate and timely reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction project management, focusing on specialized or complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of specialized construction techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, especially in unique construction scenarios.
- Ability to manage multiple specialized projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
