Job Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for providing expert advice, assurance, and governance on all quality matters across capital projects. The role ensures that the Quality Management Systems, processes, and controls are implemented, maintained, and continuously improved to support safe, compliant, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice and assurance on quality and compliance in line with organisational policies, statutory requirements, and recognised standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems.
• Oversee quality performance across project activities and delivery packages, ensuring quality requirements are embedded into planning, procurement, design, construction, and handover.
• Support procurement and contract processes by providing quality input, including tender evaluations and responses to quality-related clarifications.
• Lead quality assurance activities, including audits, inspections, reviews, and due diligence, to ensure compliance with agreed standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyse quality performance, defining and reporting quality KPIs, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure effective processes are in place for the recording, investigation, and resolution of quality incidents, driving lessons learned and continuous improvement.
• Promote and embed a strong quality culture across all project stakeholders through communication, engagement, and quality initiatives.
• Stay informed of changes in relevant legislation, standards, and industry requirements, advising stakeholders on potential impacts.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to quality team members, leading by example and maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Quality Management within complex project environments.
• Strong background in QMS development, implementation, and assurance.
• Proven experience preparing for and supporting regulatory and external audits.
• Experience operating within complex delivery environments involving multiple contractors and stakeholders.
• Background in regulated industries (e.g. infrastructure, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotech, energy) is highly desirable.
