We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, friendly, and hardworking part-time sales associates. The Sales Associate’s primary responsibility is to provide exemplary customer service and sales support, aiming to enhance store productivity and profitability. This includes offering product recommendations, working proactively with customers, and serving as a role model for retail best practices. The role also involves inventory management, stock replenishment, housekeeping, and assisting with stockroom duties.

The Sales Associate will work closely with the store team and report directly to the Store Manager.

Essential Job Functions
  • Create and maintain a welcoming, easy-to-navigate shopping environment.
  • Build expertise on products, promotions, services, and rewards programs, tailored to customer needs.
  • Assist customers in finding suitable cards and gifts, fostering connections and caring stories.
  • Enhance the shopping experience by managing store operations efficiently, including merchandising, ringing sales, processing shipments, and fulfilling online orders.
  • Work as part of a team to meet sales goals, ensuring customer satisfaction and upselling.
  • Adhere to all company policies and practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and backroom.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • If under 18, must meet work permit requirements.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more years of retail, sales, or customer service experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong customer engagement and consultative selling skills.
  • Effective communication with customers and team members.
  • Adaptability, responsiveness to feedback, and proficiency with technology.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the business.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other physical activities as required.
  • Exposure to store environment, including dust, cleaning agents, and noise.
Employment Status

This is a part-time, non-exempt hourly position, typically working 6-20 hours per week, up to 28 hours on average.
