Under the direction of our engineers, you’ll unpack, assemble, wire, and test various AV and computer equipment. Tasks include bench testing equipment, building AV racks, assembling video walls and large projection systems, installation of equipment into final cabinetry, and documenting completed work.

Unbox and inventory equipment (computers, monitors, touchscreens, amplifiers, speakers, and similar), then assemble and connect complete exhibit systems on tabletops so programmers can develop and test software and media. Coordinate with engineers on specialty interfaces and displays. - Rack Building:
Unbox and install computer, network, audio, and control equipment in AV racks per engineer-provided rack elevations. Run, dress, and label cabling and equipment as directed. - Temporary AV Installation:
Assist with hanging truss, projectors, screens, and speakers in the shop for testing and development, using lifts and safe overhead rigging practices under engineer direction. - Video Wall Assembly:
Assemble, align, and test seamless LCD and mosaic-style video walls. Support factory-guided assembly of direct-view LED (DVLED) walls. - Cabinet Integration:
Disassemble bench builds and professionally install equipment into final exhibit cabinetry, fastening all components per Roto standards (training provided). Work as a team to safely lift and mount monitors, which frequently require two or more people. - Quality Control and Documentation:
Verify completed work, take progress and as-built photos, and report issues. Select individuals with the appropriate skills may assist in compiling documentation for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.
- 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in AV installation, IT/computer hardware, low‑voltage wiring, live event or stage production, or a related field; or equivalent technical training.
- Working familiarity with common AV and computer equipment (PCs, media players, displays, projectors, touchscreens, amplifiers, speakers, network switches) and their connections (HDMI, Display Port, USB, Cat6, audio).
- Proven care and confidence handling large displays and sensitive electronics.
- Commitment to neat, professional cable management, including dressing, bundling, and labeling. Experience terminating network and audio cables is a plus.
- Ability to follow rack elevations, basic wiring diagrams, and written or verbal instructions.
- Skilled in the safe use of common hand and power tools.
- Experience with aerial/scissor lifts, truss, or overhead rigging is a plus; lift certification preferred or willingness to be trained.
- Experience with video wall assembly or projector setup is a plus.
- Technical writing or documentation experience is a plus.
