Internal Medicine Physician

A private practice group of general internists and internal medicine subspecialists. They have 12 general internists and 3 PA's that do primary care, plus every internal medicine subspecialty except rheumatology. They also have 5 hospitalists that do all of the hospital work. The general internists do not take call. Most of work 4 days per week seeing 15-20 patients. They offer a salary guarantee of $225,000 per year with $25,000 start bonus.

After the first full year of employment, you will be offered partnership and, after that, salary is based on RVU production everybody's salary increases as a full-time partner. They offer health insurance, life insurance, malpractice insurance, 401k, profit-sharing plan, $5000 for relocation expenses, CME $5000, 4 weeks of vacation. The practice owns a dialysis unit, endoscopy suite, lab, x-ray (CT scan, ultrasound, Dexa, mammo, general radiology) and 3 buildings so the income from these ancillary services puts our MGMA salaries at 75-90% for everybody who is a partner in the group.
