Geotechnical Project Engineer

Are you a driven and skilled professional in geotechnical engineering? At Terracon, we're expanding and seeking talented candidates to join us as a Project Geotechnical Engineer. In this role, you will lead and contribute to geotechnical engineering projects, including conducting field investigations, performing analyses, developing reports, and ensuring project compliance.

Our services span sectors such as public works, transportation, commercial, energy, and industrial projects, offering diverse experience and growth opportunities.

The position can be based out of any of the following Terracon offices:
Ames, Dubuque, Cedar Rapids, Cedar Falls, Bettendorf, and Des Moines.

• Follow safety protocols and participate in pre-task planning.
• Prepare proposals and reports for projects of varying complexity.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate project phases under supervision.
• Maintain quality standards and collaborate with senior project managers.
• Communicate with clients and team members about project scope, progress, and recommendations.
• Evaluate laboratory and field data to inform engineering decisions.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Participate in marketing and business development activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering;
  Master’s preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience; PE registration required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record.
