- Perform MRI examinations following physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Verify patient identification, obtain relevant medical history, and explain procedures to ensure patient understanding and comfort.
- Operate MRI scanners and related equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Adhere to all MRI safety guidelines, including screening for contraindications and maintaining proper magnet room safety procedures.
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and collaborate with radiologists to determine if additional views or sequences are required.
- Participate in continuing education and training to maintain certification and stay current with advancements in MRI technology.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology or Graduate of an accredited School of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
- 2 years of prior MRI experience.
- Current Radiologic Technologist certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
- Current MRI certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or six months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience.
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within three (3) months from date of hire.
