Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift

Hotel Julien Dubuque is looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role requires a proactive leader who is willing to clean rooms, inspect rooms, and communicate effectively with the Front Desk, Maintenance, and all hotel outlets to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hands-On Leadership
    :
    Be actively involved in daily operations, including cleaning and inspecting guest rooms as needed.
  • Team Management
    :
    Supervise and support the Housekeeping team, Public Area Attendants, Laundry staff, and Inspectors to maintain efficiency and quality.
  • Room & Public Area Inspections
    :
    Ensure rooms, hallways, and public spaces meet hotel cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Guest Satisfaction
    :
    Address housekeeping-related guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Communication & Coordination
    :
    • Work closely with the Front Desk to ensure room readiness and special requests are met.
    • Partner with Maintenance to report and follow up on room or facility repairs.
    • Collaborate with hotel outlets to maintain high service standards across departments.
  • Training & Development
    :
    Train housekeeping staff to ensure consistency in procedures and uphold hotel cleanliness standards.
  • Inventory & Supplies
    :
    Manage housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment to maintain optimal stock levels.
Qualifications:
  • Previous housekeeping supervisory or management experience in a hotel or similar environment.
  • Willingness to clean rooms, inspect rooms, and lead by example
    .
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a diverse team.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
