Position Overview

Plaid Swan works with a financial institution that is seeking a creative and detail-oriented on-site Social Media Marketing Specialist to support the execution and ongoing growth of its social media presence. This role focuses on day-to-day content creation, scheduling, community engagement, and performance tracking across organic and paid social channels.

The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and comfortable working within a regulated financial environment. This position works closely with internal marketing leadership, branch teams, and agency partners to ensure social media efforts support brand awareness, member engagement, and campaign goals while maintaining trust and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Social Media Execution & Content Planning
  • Execute day-to-day social media activities for the financial institution and all its branches.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining monthly content calendars aligned with campaigns, community initiatives, and seasonal priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to support broader marketing and brand initiatives.
  • Support brand awareness, product promotions, and community storytelling through consistent social content.
Content Creation & Platform Management
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, You Tube, and emerging channels.
  • Write compliant, brand-aligned copy for organic and paid social posts.
  • Coordinate with leadership, branch managers, and other team members to obtain usable on-site photo and video capture, employee features, client stories, and community content.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice, visuals, and messaging across all platforms.
Community Engagement & Member Interaction
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and reviews promptly and professionally.
  • Build trust and strengthen relationships with members, employees, partners, and the community.
  • Partner with client-facing departments to properly route service-related inquiries and issues.
Paid Social & Campaign Support
  • Support paid social efforts in coordination with internal leadership and external agency partners.
  • Assist with creative testing, audience targeting, and campaign optimizations.
  • Ensure accurate tracking through UTMs, pixels, and conversion tags.
Analytics, Reporting & Optimization
  • Track and report on performance metrics, including reach, engagement, follower growth, traffic, and conversions.
  • Deliver monthly dashboards and insights with recommendations for optimization.
  • Monitor platform trends, competitor activity, and industry best practices to inform strategy.
Compliance & Brand Stewardship
  • Ensure all content adheres to credit union regulations, internal policies, and compliance standards.
  • Maintain brand integrity across all published content.
  • Support major organizational campaigns, product launches, and internal communication initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-4 years of hands‑on experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi‑platform content calendars.
  • Strong copywriting skills with a clear understanding of audience segmentation and brand voice.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics, scheduling tools, and advertising platforms.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on‑site and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams located across the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in financial services, credit unions, banking, or other regulated industries.
  • Proficiency with Meta Business Manager, Linked In Campaign Manager, and Google Analytics.
  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
  • Experience working with internal marketing teams and external agencies.
