RN – Rehab Registered Nurse.

Location:

Mercy One Dubuque, Iowa (IA).

Full time.

12 Hour Night Shift (6:00 pm – 6:30 am). RNs work 12‑hour shifts, every third weekend, holiday rotation, schedules made every six weeks.

As a Registered Nurse at Mercy One, you provide safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions. You utilize evidence-based practice and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcome-based care. The Acute Care RN manages a diverse patient population with varying acuity, including post‑operative, medical, telemetry, and neurologic patients. You supervise and coordinate care by LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, and other nursing team members, facilitate communication with physicians, patients and families, and interdisciplinary teams, adhering to Mercy One’s performance expectations and values.

• Conduct assessments.
• Identify patient problems and develop care plans.
• Implement outcome/goal‑based plans of care.
• Evaluate patient progress and revise plans as needed.
• Communicate relevant clinical information to the team.
• Demonstrate clinical competence.
• Manage telemetry and cardiac monitoring when applicable.
• Provide age‑appropriate care on assigned unit.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and health policies.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, federal and state regulations, and hospital policies.

• .8 FTE, 32 hours per week.
• Night shift: 6:00 pm – 6:30 am.
• RNs work 12‑hour shifts.
• Every third weekend.
• Holiday rotation.
• Schedules are made every six weeks; staff can choose preferred shifts.

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Iowa.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire.
