American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Days position requiring prior charge RN experience and Epic proficiency.

• Intensive Care Unit setting within a hospital
• Days shift, 6:30 AM-7:00 PM, 36 hrs/week
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Rotational floating required, with priority given back to ICU during increased census
• Uses Philips monitoring equipment

• Active IA RN license (single-state or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA or ARC)
• NIHSS certification highly preferred, can be obtained during onboarding
• Minimum 24 months of recent ICU/CCU experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 12 months
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill ICU patients and assist with tech-level duties when floated
• Orientation dates available for 11/2, 11/9, and 11/16
• Holiday coverage required for 1-2 of the 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) unless the unit is closed
• Limited time-off requests allowed during the holiday season blackout periods
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN) are ineligible if they have worked for UPH in another market within the past 12 months; prior UPH travelers are exempt from this restriction
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
