Clarke University is seeking a dependable and hardworking Evening Dining Hall Custodian / Dish Room Attendant to join our Dining Services team. This role plays a key part in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and guests during dinner service.

• Clean and sanitize dishware, utensils, trays, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of dish room and kitchen areas, including sweeping and mopping floors
• Empty trash and recycling, and replace liners as needed
• Wipe down and sanitize dining hall tables, counters, and other surfaces
• Restock cleaning supplies and report maintenance needs
• Assist in closing and securing the dish room and dining area at end of shift
• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations (e.g., Serv Safe standards)
• Support other dining operations as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in food service, janitorial, or custodial work is a plus
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in a hot, fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness, detail, and safety
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Availability to work evening shifts, weekends, and occasional holidays
