The university is currently seeking qualified individuals to serve as part time Security Officers on the Campus Safety and Security team. These positions will work approximately 20 hours per week with variable shifts that will mostly be nights and weekends.

• Follow established rounds and monitor security radio.
• Enforce parking regulations and open/close buildings while monitoring mechanical operations.
• Assist police and fire departments with any on‑campus incidents.
• Write security reports and respond to service/emergency calls as needed.
• Perform occasional general light maintenance such as changing light bulbs, smoke detector batteries, and shoveling snow.
• Perform extensive walking outdoors in all weather conditions.

• High school diploma.
• Knowledge of procedures involved in building and grounds security work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Direct experience in security and CPR, AED, first aid, or first responder certification preferred.
• Background check will be completed prior to hire.
