Job Description
Master Electrician
McNett Electric is seeking an experienced Master or Journeyman Electrician to join our team and take a lead role on new electrical projects.
This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced electrician who can work independently, troubleshoot complex electrical issues, and take ownership of projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience across residential, commercial, and agricultural electrical work and is comfortable leading projects while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead on new residential, commercial, and agricultural electrical projects
- Perform electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Diagnose electrical problems and determine safe, effective solutions
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical plans, schematics, and specifications
- Install and service wiring, panels, lighting, outlets, switches, and electrical equipment
- Coordinate work and help keep projects on schedule
- Provide direction and support to electricians and apprentices as needed
- Ensure all work meets applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and company quality standards
- Inspect completed work for quality and code compliance
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and other team members
- Prepare material lists and complete required project documentation
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Travel to local job sites as required
Qualifications
- Current Master Electrician license required
- 5+ years of professional electrical experience
- Strong experience with residential, commercial, and/or agricultural electrical projects
- Experience leading projects or working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Thorough understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety practices
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical plans
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to safely lift, carry, climb, and perform physical work in a variety of job-site conditions
