As a specialist recruiter supporting independent and regional accountancy firms across the West Midlands, I'm currently partnering with a well-established and highly regarded practice in Dudley to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant. The successful candidate will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, working closely with partners while also supporting and mentoring junior team members. The role offers a blend of compliance and advisory exposure, making it ideal for someone who enjoys client interaction and adding value beyond year‑end accounts preparation.

• Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
• Corporation tax and personal tax computations
• Management accounts and VAT returns
• Acting as a primary point of contact for clients
• Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing guidance
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional advisory services

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or strong QBE considered)
• Proven experience within UK accountancy practice
• Confident managing a client portfolio
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts and taxation
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
• Experience with cloud‑based software (Xero, Sage, Quick Books) advantageous
