Senior Accountant​/Client Manager

Alexander Daniels are partnering with a well-established Accountancy Practice that is looking for a Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships, managing a diverse portfolio, and acting as a trusted advisor to businesses. The Role:

You will manage a varied portfolio of SME clients across a range of sectors, taking ownership of client relationships and providing expert accounting and business advice.

• Managing a portfolio of limited company, partnership, and sole trader clients
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
• Reviewing management accounts and bookkeeping work
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients and responding to day-to-day queries
• Advising clients on business performance, growth, and financial matters
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
• Identifying opportunities to add value and develop client relationships
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or be qualified by experience)
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience managing a client portfolio
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• A proactive and commercial approach to client service
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or Quick Books
