Job IntroductionBusiness Support Officer

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Business Support Officer to join our Virtual School team. This is a varied and rewarding role, providing high-quality administrative, data and systems support that helps improve outcomes for children in care and previously looked-after children.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records across a range of education and social care systems, supporting the coordination of training and events, monitoring key data and ensuring that information is accurate, timely, and accessible. You will be the first point of contact for many enquiries and will work closely with schools, social workers, carers, education professionals and Virtual School staff.
Whatyou will do
- Provide comprehensive business and administrative support to the Virtual School.
- Maintain and update information across a range of databases and systems.
- Monitor and process pupil movement, school placement and care status information.
- Coordinate training programmes, conferences and professional development events.
- Create and manage booking systems, communications, attendance records, and feedback processes.
- Respond to enquiries received via email, telephone and shared inboxes.
- Support the production and maintenance of education records and documentation.
- Liaise with schools, carers, social workers, partner agencies, and system providers to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative processes and data quality.
Workplace Attendance:
Working in the office 3+ days a week (pro-rata)
or Onsite full time
