We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Band 2 Ward Clerk on the Paediatric Ward at Russell's Hall Hospital. The Children's Ward comprises of a PAU, HDU, Day case and Adolescent area. It is an exciting time in children's services, and we strive to put the children at the heart of everything we do and ensure good quality care is always given.
The Children's Ward is a busy and challenging environment, and the successful applicants will need to be motivated and flexible to meet the needs of the service. The role will cover weekend day cover (both Saturdays and Sundays) and Bank Holiday cover as well as weekday working. The shifts are earlies (8-4), lates (10-6) and weekends (9-5).
Previous experience in a clerical role is essential.

Main duties of the jobTo provide clerical, administrative and reception duties for the Paediatric Department. To contribute to efficient and effective paediatric care by ensuring all children's records are maintained correctly from admission to discharge.

Person Specification Qualifications- GCSE pass in English Language & Maths Grade C or above or equivalent
- Able to work flexibly
- Good telephone manner
- Previous administrative and clerical experience
- Understanding of confidentiality
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Able to use IT systems (OASIS, IFIT, SUNRISE, WELLSKY)
- Able to relate to the general public calmly and in a professional manner
- Able to deal with a steady flow of work and sudden episodes of heavy influx of work
- Able to work with the multidisciplinary team
