Due to continued growth and an expanding national client portfolio, we're looking for an experienced and motivated P401 Qualified Laboratory Analyst to join our established UKAS-accredited laboratory in Halesowen.

About the roleAs a Part-Time P401 Qualified Laboratory Analyst, you'll be responsible for the accurate analysis of asbestos bulk samples in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation standards, ensuring results are produced to the highest levels of quality and accuracy.
Working as part of our laboratory team, you'll analyse samples, maintain quality standards and produce accurate reports for both internal departments and external clients. You'll also contribute to maintaining the laboratory's UKAS accreditation through compliance with quality procedures, audits and continual professional development.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse asbestos bulk samples in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation requirements.
- Accurately identify and report asbestos-containing materials using approved analytical techniques.
- Produce accurate laboratory reports for internal teams and external clients.
- Maintain laboratory records and documentation in accordance with company quality procedures.
- Work in compliance with UKAS requirements, company procedures and health & safety legislation.
- Participate in internal quality assurance programmes, audits and proficiency testing.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and laboratory safety.
- Undertake continuing professional development and training as required.
- BOHS P401 qualification (essential).
- A minimum of Twelve months' experience working within a UKAS-accredited asbestos laboratory.
