We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded construction business that delivers a variety of construction projects across multiple sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Construction Buyer to join their team.

The Role

As Construction Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting projects by managing procurement activities and ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time.

Key responsibilities include:

* Procuring materials, plant, and subcontract services for a range of construction projects

* Working closely with site, commercial, and project teams to meet programme requirements

* Managing supplier relationships and negotiating pricing and terms

* Ensuring orders are placed accurately and delivered on schedule

* Monitoring supply chain performance and resolving procurement issues

* Supporting cost control and value-for-money initiatives

* Maintaining accurate procurement records and documentation

About You

* Previous experience as a Buyer within the construction industry (essential)

* Strong knowledge of construction materials and supply chains

* Confident negotiating with suppliers and building long-term relationships

* Well organised with strong attention to detail

* Proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities

* A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
