I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist contractor operating within the cladding and façade sector, who are looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Sandwell.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant QS to gain hands-on experience working on technically challenging external envelope projects and develop their career within a growing and supportive business.

The Role

You’ll be supporting the commercial delivery of cladding and façade packages from pre-construction through to final account, including:

* Assisting with cost control and commercial reporting

* Preparing valuations and applications for payment

* Supporting subcontractor procurement and account management

* Measuring works and assisting with variations

* CVRs and cost forecasting

* Maintaining accurate commercial records

* Working closely with site teams and senior management

About You

My client is keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

* Experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Trainee QS role

* Background working for a contractor or specialist subcontractor

* Exposure to cladding, façades or external envelope works (advantageous)

* Strong commercial awareness and numerical ability

* Excellent communication skills

* Ambition to progress within a specialist environment

* Full UK driving licence preferred
