Overview
A Customer Coordinator is a full-time role (temp-to-perm contract) located in Kingswinford. Working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, you will act as the essential link between B2B clients and internal teams, including Production and Planning. The role supports Senior Management in maintaining efficient order flow and high client satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Process customer orders and manage enquiries to ensure accurate information, realistic lead times and outstanding service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with B2B customers and internal stakeholders (Production, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse and Sales).
- Coordinate customer orders from enquiry through to delivery; liaise daily with internal teams to monitor order progress.
- Monitor manufacturing schedules and delivery performance to meet customer expectations.
- Allocate available stock to orders and prioritise urgent requirements.
- Update customer order reports and ERP systems with accurate information.
- Investigate order delays and communicate revised delivery schedules; provide proactive updates on order status, lead times and deliveries.
- Coordinate priority orders with internal departments to achieve earliest possible delivery dates; arrange stock availability checks and communicate inventory levels.
- Resolve customer queries efficiently and escalate issues where necessary.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Experience in Customer Service, Customer Coordination, Sales Support, Internal Sales, Order Processing or Supply Chain Coordination.
- Experience in a Manufacturing, Engineering, Production or Industrial environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems is advantageous; good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A proactive, positive, team-focused approach.
- Salary: 28,000–32,000 per annum (£13.46–£15.38 per hour, depending on experience).
- Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40-hour week). - Location:
