Are you a passionate and experienced Primary Teacher with a strong background in supporting pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs?

We are working closely with a supportive Primary School in the Dudley/Brierley Hill area, who are seeking a dedicated SEND/SEMH Teacher to join their team. The school is committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all pupils, especially those requiring additional emotional and behavioural support.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Have experience or a genuine passion for working with pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.

Understand that SEMH refers to Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties — and be able to adapt teaching strategies to support children with behavioural, emotional or mental health challenges.

Be confident in classroom management and supporting children with challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent and positive manner.

Be able to engage pupils in creative, inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

Have excellent communication skills and work collaboratively with other professionals and parents.

Requirements:

Valid DBS certificate (on the update service) or willingness to apply for one through Teacher Active.

Two professional references from your most recent employers.

Previous experience working with children in the UK.
