Part Time Lunchtime Supervisor, term time only (39 weeks)
5 hours per week (12.00pm – 1.00pm Monday to Friday)
FTE £24,796 per annum
Actual Salary £2,892 - £2,957 per annum
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team at Wollescote Primary School. The successful candidate will help to ensure the safety, welfare, and good conduct of pupils during the lunch break—promoting positive behaviour, healthy social interaction, and a calm, orderly environment in the dining hall and playground.
Key Responsibilities- 1. Supervise Pupils – Monitor children in dining areas, playgrounds, and corridors to ensure safety and good conduct during lunch.
- 2. Promote Positive Behaviour – Encourage respectful behaviour and good manners, applying the school’s behaviour policy consistently.
- 3. Ensure Safety and Welfare – Respond to accidents or emergencies promptly, administer basic first aid if trained, and report incidents appropriately.
- 4. Assist with Meals – Help younger pupils with food, maintain order in the dining hall, and ensure a clean, pleasant environment.
- 5. Communicate and Report – Liaise with staff about concerns, maintain confidentiality, and follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting (formal or informal).
- Calm, approachable manner; strong interpersonal skills; able to build positive relationships.
- Confidence to manage behaviour fairly and consistently, following school policy.
- Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism; maintains confidentiality.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children (successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check).
