Teaching Assistant – Post-16 SEND – Dudley (Monday to Thursday)
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? A well-resourced post-16 SEND provision in Dudley is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team, working with students aged 16–19 on a one-to-one and small group basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping young adults with learning difficulties, Autism, or complex needs to develop their independence, communication, and life skills. The successful Teaching Assistant will be joining a welcoming team of experienced staff who are committed to providing high-quality support and learning opportunities for every student.
Job Role:- Supporting post-16 students with special educational needs on a 1-2-1 and small group basis.
- Assisting students with academic learning, communication, and personal development.
- Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support.
- Promoting independence and confidence in everyday activities.
- Helping to maintain a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment.
- Contributing to lesson activities and monitoring student progress.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a SEND or post-16 setting.
- Knowledge of supporting students with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, or complex needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, positive, and empathetic approach to supporting young people.
- Availability to work Monday to Thursday on a long-term or ongoing basis.

- Working reduced hours 08:30 - 14:30
