SEN Teaching Assistant

SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) - Maidstone Full-Time | January 2026 Start Academics are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil in a welcoming school in the Maidstone area . This is a full-time position , starting January 2026 , with the potential to continue long term for the right candidate.

The Role:

Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Supporting learning, engagement and emotional development in the classroom Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow tailored support plans Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate :
Has experience working with children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs) Is patient, caring and resilient Has strong communication and teamwork skills Is committed to helping children reach their full potential Previous experience in a school or SEN setting is essential If you're passionate about supporting children with additional needs and are looking for a rewarding full-time role from January 2026 , we'd love to hear from you.
