We are looking for a passionate history teacher to cover maternity leave at Dormston School.

History Teacher – Maternity Cover – Fixed Term Contract

Main to Upper Pay Range: £32,916.00 – £51,048.00.

We believe History is an essential subject for the development of young adults. History enables us to answer important questions such as “Where do I come from?”, “How did history lead us to here?”, and “Where do we go from here?”. As a department we are passionate about the historical research we conduct and aspire to provide an exciting, innovative, and challenging curriculum so that all students can achieve their academic potential, develop a sense of humanity, and foster a life‑long love of history.

Throughout history lessons, students will build their historical knowledge, develop key writing skills, and analyse historical scholarship and sources in order to equip them with an understanding of how the past is constructed and the workings of the modern world.

This role offers a wonderful opportunity for a candidate who can challenge, motivate, and enthuse students to engage in a dynamic learning environment, working alongside a strong team of dedicated historians.
