    Dudley, West Midlands Full-time | Immediate Start | Long-term Opportunity Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding 1:1 role in a supportive school environment?

We are recruiting for a full-time Special Educational Needs TA to work with a Year 10 pupil who has a combination of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), ADHD, ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder) and visual impairment.

This pupil requires consistent, personalised support to access the curriculum and manage complex behaviours that may arise due to sensory sensitivities, changes in routine, or social challenges.

While recent progress has shown improved engagement and peer interaction, a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant is essential to help him thrive both in the classroom and during offsite learning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support tailored to the pupil's individual needs.

Implement behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation techniques.

Support access to learning across all subjects, including community-based and offsite activities.

Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals to deliver a consistent and nurturing approach.

Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, ODD, and sensory impairments.

Strong understanding of SEN strategies, trauma-informed practice, and de-escalation techniques.

Calm, patient, and resilient with excellent communication skills.

Able to build trust and rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
