Long Term Futures is seeking a professional, empathetic SEND Teaching Assistant that is looking to take the next step in their career by working within a SEND School.

About the Role
Working closely with class teachers, SENCo, and other professionals, your responsibilities will include but won't be limited to:

Providing support to children in or out of the classroom
Supporting the teacher in delivering amazing, well-structured lessons
Setting expectations specific to each child
Delivering positive reinforcement where necessary
Monitoring and feeding back progress and/or behaviour to teachers and parents
Taking students out of the classroom to regulate and then reintegrate
Helping pupils develop resilience, self-regulation and positive social interaction Ideal candidate profile

Passionate and experienced with supporting pupils with SEND
Calm, confident and able to remain regulated during behavioural incidents
Able to build trust while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries
Reliable and committed to a long-term placement - a consistent face is of upmost importance
Resilience is a key component and necessary when working within a SEND environment
