Position Overview
Dudley Academies Trust invites applications for a Learning Manager at St James Academy, a high‑performing school in central Dudley. The role supports learner wellbeing and achievement, working closely with teaching staff, parents and external agencies to keep students engaged, progressing and overcoming barriers to learning.
School ContextSt James Academy has been the most improved school in the Borough for GCSE grades and for passing Maths and English at Grade 5 or above. It has achieved 100% GCSE pass rates in many departments and aims to extend this success across all areas.
Responsibilities- Support and guide learners both academically and personally.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents and external agencies.
- Ensure learners stay engaged, make progress and overcome barriers to learning.
- Promote a positive, inclusive school environment where every learner can thrive.
- Strong communication, organisation and empathy skills.
- Commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
All successful applicants will need to undertake an enhanced disclosure and barring service check and children and adults barred list checks, as the role involves regulated activity.
