About Us

Responsibilities

Cleaners are responsible for a wide range of cleaning duties, ensuring the school is cleaned daily to the required standard/specification. They must use safety equipment, wear appropriate protective clothing, use warning signs, and observe hazards to staff and students. Compliance with the Trust’s Health and Safety practices is mandatory.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience working in a school or other educational setting is desirable but not essential. A willingness to learn and adapt to the school environment is required.

Working Hours

The role offers flexibility with early morning or afternoon shifts. The patterns are as follows:

  • Morning:
    Mon 7:00‑10:30am, Tue 7:00‑9:30am, Wed 7:00‑9:30am, Thu 7:00‑9:30am, Fri 7:00‑10:15am
  • Afternoon:
    Mon 2:30‑6:00pm, Tue 3:30‑6:00pm, Wed 3:30‑6:00pm, Thu 3:30‑6:00pm, Fri 2:30‑5:45pm

Background Checks

In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025, the Trust will carry out an online search for all shortlisted candidates to identify any publicly available incidents or concerns that may pose a safeguarding risk. The role is subject to Enhanced DBS checks, including the Children’s Barred List. All required pre‑employment checks will be undertaken, and offers of employment are subject to satisfactory outcomes.
