A Teaching Assistant works alongside class teachers to support the learning and development of pupils across primary or secondary school settings. Responsibilities include delivering targeted support to individual students or small groups, preparing teaching resources, assisting with classroom management, and maintaining accurate records of pupil progress. Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment where every child feels valued and encouraged.
The ideal candidate will be patient, enthusiastic, and able to build effective working relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable, along with previous experience working with children.
