The Black Country Federation is recruiting an Attendance Officer with Safeguarding and Pastoral responsibilities to work across our partnership of schools.

Responsibilities- Monitor daily student attendance and take relevant actions to raise and highlight attendance levels across year groups.
- Maintain friendly, supportive, and professional communication with pupils, parents, staff, stakeholders, and external agencies, handling complex queries and potential conflicts effectively.
- Collaborate with school leaders and safeguarding/pastoral teams in both schools, providing consistent support to all pupils and responding appropriately to individual needs.
- This position is subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
- Strong team player with a friendly, professional approach.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with pupils, parents, staff, stakeholders, and external agencies.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Demonstrated personal resilience and an ability to model positive qualities for young people.
- Willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role.
- Supportive and encouraging staff team.
- Robust professional development opportunities, including instructional coaching, in-house CPD, and support for National Professional Qualifications (NPQ) training.
