We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, committed and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to cover PPA, who will work alongside colleagues to help shape the future of our school as it moves forward. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping all children to learn through a range of activities, including those with barriers to their learning; is positive, flexible and able to work as part of a team, works well under direction, but also shows initiative and can take ownership of tasks.
The successful candidate will have a good level of literacy and numeracy skills and has experience or is confident to work with all ages within the primary phrase.

The successful candidate will play a key role in our school vision by supporting the day‑to‑day Higher Level Teaching Assistant activities. Our teachers and support staff are talented, professional, supportive, caring and ambitious to achieve success.
We welcome applications from both Catholics and non‑Catholics but expect all employees to support the Catholic ethos and values of the school. If you meet the requirements of this role, we look forward to hearing from you.

Emmaus Catholic MAC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Effective from September 2022, KCSIE states as part of the shortlisting process that schools and colleges should consider carrying out online searches to determine suitability to work with children and keep them safe.
All shortlisted candidates are now subject to an online check and if there is anything concerning, the shortlisted candidate will be asked to comment on it either prior to or during the interview.
