OverviewThe Crestwood School is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to students’ learning, wellbeing and personal development within a supportive and ambitious school community.
Responsibilities- Work closely with teaching staff to support individual students and small groups.
- Deliver tailored learning and pastoral support, building positive relationships with students who require additional nurture, structure and personalised approaches.
- Contribute to planning and deliver targeted interventions.
- Create and maintain an inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
- Oversee the management of the library.
- Experience and enthusiasm for supporting diverse cohorts of pupils.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Enhanced DBS check with Children’s Barred List clearance (or equivalent).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Willingness to undertake required pre‑employment checks.

The Trust will carry out an online search on all shortlisted candidates to identify any incidents or concerns that are publicly available which may pose a safeguarding risk or bring the Trust into disrepute. All required pre‑employment checks will include an enhanced DBS check with Children’s Barred List information, identity checks, online checks, and verification of professional qualifications and references.
This role involves regulated activity and is therefore subject to:
- Enhanced DBS Check including the Children’s Barred List.
- Verification through the DfE’s Check a Teacher’s Record for applicable roles.
