Supply Teacher

Vision for Education is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teachers to work across a range of primary, secondary and SEND schools on both day-to-day and longer-term assignments.

Vision for Education works closely with a wide network of schools looking for reliable and passionate Supply Teachers to provide high-quality teaching when permanent staff are absent. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work in a variety of school settings, gain valuable experience, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

The successful candidate will be confident in delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and creating a positive learning environment where pupils can continue to thrive. • Deliver engaging lessons using pre-planned work or your own resources where appropriate.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that supports pupil engagement and achievement.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following each school's behaviour policy.
• Adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, teaching assistants, and school staff to ensure continuity of learning.
• Provide feedback to school staff on lesson outcomes, pupil progress, and any safeguarding or behavioural concerns.
• Follow all school policies and safeguarding procedures, ensuring the highest standards of professional practice at all times.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or BEd.
• Have experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), either in a specialist or mainstream setting.
• Be confident delivering lessons to individuals and small groups with varying learning needs.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, adaptability, and behaviour management skills.
• Be compassionate, patient, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for all learners.
• Be able to provide suitable references and obtain an enhanced DBS check.
