Are you an English Teacher looking for a part-time opportunity where you can make a genuine difference to young people?

Smile Education is currently recruiting for an English Teacher to work within a supportive Alternative Provision setting in Dudley, teaching Key Stage 4 learners who benefit from a more personalised approach to education.

This is an ideal opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about re-engaging young people with learning, building confidence and helping students achieve their potential.

The Role
  • Teaching English to KS4 learners
  • Working every Tues­day and Wednesday
  • Planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons
  • Supporting students who may have experienced barriers to education
  • Building positive relationships and creating a safe, supportive learning environment
  • Managing behaviour effectively and consistently
  • Supporting learners to develop confidence and make progress
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to improve outcomes for young people

The provision supports KS4 learners from across the Trust and works closely with the Local Authority as part of its pathways model, supporting young people across Dudley.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Is available every Tues­day and Wednesday
  • Is confident teaching English at KS4
  • Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Can engage and motivate pupils who may have struggled within mainstream education
  • Builds positive, trusting relationships with young people
  • Is flexible, resilient and committed to improving outcomes
  • Has experience in Alternative Provision, SEND, SEMH or similar settings – desirable but not essential
