Smile Education are proud to be working in partnership with the Endeavour Multi Academy Trust to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child returning to school on a full-time basis from the Autumn Term
.

This is a Part-time position, with the potential to continue until July 2027, providing consistency and stability for both the pupil and the successful candidate.

Based in Wolverhampton
, this school benefits from excellent transport links, making it easily accessible from Dudley, Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in a child's educational journey. The successful candidate will provide consistent, individualised support to a pupil with highly complex additional needs
, ensuring they can access learning in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

The role will be classroom-based
, working closely alongside the class teacher while taking responsibility for the child's day-to-day support.

About the Role
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with highly complex additional needs.
  • Deliver engaging, tailored activities to support the child's learning and development.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Support the child's emotional, educational and physical wellbeing throughout the school day.
  • Assist with personal care where required.
  • Deliver medical care following specialist training.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Recent experience supporting children with additional needs on a 1:1 basis.
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable).
  • Experience supporting children with complex needs.
  • Previous experience delivering medical care is advantageous but not essential.
  • Confidence working independently whilst also being an effective member of a wider classroom team.
  • A patient, caring and flexible approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
