This opportunity is based within a secondary school in Halesowen
, where you will support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role would suit an enthusiastic graduate who is confident working with young people and can build positive relationships while helping pupils develop their English skills and confidence.

We are looking for an enthusiastic English Graduate to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role could involve supporting pupils individually or in small groups, delivering English interventions, helping with GCSE revision or providing additional support to pupils who need help with particular areas of the English curriculum.

With part-time, flexible and longer-term opportunities available, this role is ideal for graduates who want to gain experience within education while maintaining flexibility around their other commitments.

• Providing one-to-one English support
• Working with small groups of pupils
• Delivering targeted English interventions
• Supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils
• Supporting GCSE English revision and booster sessions
• Helping pupils prepare for GCSE examinations
• Supporting English Language and English Literature where appropriate
• Helping pupils develop confidence and engagement in English
• Supporting pupils who have gaps in their subject knowledge
• Supporting pupils with SEN and additional learning needs
• Helping pupils develop their reading, writing and comprehension skills
• Making complex English concepts accessible to pupils
• Building positive relationships with pupils
• Working alongside English teachers and wider school staff
• Providing whole-class cover where required

• English degree or closely related subject from a UK university
• Strong understanding of the UK secondary English curriculum
• Good knowledge of KS3 and KS4 English and GCSE content
• Strong English subject knowledge
• Ability to explain English concepts clearly and in an accessible way
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage and motivate young people
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils from diverse backgrounds
• Previous school experience is desirable
• Interest in education or teaching is desirable

• £92.59 to £105day rate
  , which equates to approximately £17,340 to £20,475 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
