As a Year 1

Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, delivering, and assessing lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Implementing behaviour management strategies to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Maintaining clear records of pupil progress and providing feedback.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and attending required staff meetings.
• Ensuring classroom resources and learning activities are well-prepared.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
• A strong understanding of phonics and early reading strategies
• Strong classroom management skills and a confident, calm approach.
• Excellent planning and organisational abilities.
• A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Competitive Salary – £33,930 - £46,800 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year, and previous experience.

This Year 1 Teacher role is based in West Bromwich, easily accessible from Smethwick, Wednesbury, Dudleyand the surrounding areas.
