Teaching Assistant

Flourish Education are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner primary schools in Brierley Hill. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and motivated individual to work full-time within the school's dedicated SEND Resource Base, supporting children with a range of additional learning needs.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide personalised support that helps pupils overcome barriers to learning. Through engaging activities, targeted interventions and a nurturing approach, you will encourage children to develop their communication, independence and confidence while making meaningful progress.

• Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils within the school's SEND Resource Base.
• Supporting the delivery of creative and engaging learning activities adapted to individual needs.
• Helping pupils develop communication, social interaction and emotional regulation skills.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour in a safe and supportive environment.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and other staff to monitor progress and support individual learning targets.

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or relevant experience supporting children with SEND.
• Previous experience working with pupils with additional needs in a primary school, SEND Resource Base or specialist provision.
• A good understanding of SEND support strategies and the ability to adapt activities to different learning needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A patient, enthusiastic and flexible approach, with a commitment to helping every child achieve their potential.

• £92.59 to £100.00 per day, equating to £18,055 to £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year (195 days), dependent on experience and days worked.

This SEND Teaching Assistant position is based in Brierley Hill and is easily commutable from Dudley, Stourbridge, Kingswinford, Wordsley, Netherton, Cradley Heath and Halesowen.
