We are currently supporting a well-established building services contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Design Engineer / Design Manager to join their team at their Head Office in Halesowen.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong individual with proven experience within the PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation) and residential sectors to take ownership of design delivery across a range of projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and managing the design process, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly and to the highest standards.

• Manage and coordinate the full design process from concept through to construction
• Produce and review technical drawings and design documentation
• Liaise with internal teams, consultants, clients and contractors
• Ensure designs meet project specifications, regulations and programme requirements
• Provide technical support to project and commercial teams
• Attend design meetings and contribute to project planning
• Identify and manage design risks and opportunities
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practice

• Proven experience as a Design Engineer or Design Manager
• Strong background working on PBSA and residential projects
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams
• Strong technical knowledge of building services / construction design
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Proactive and solution-focused approach

• Relevant engineering or construction qualification (HNC / HND / Degree or equivalent)
• Professional memberships beneficial but not essential
