Big Data Engineer; Hadoop and AWA Exp Internet, Birmigham

We have an interesting opportunity for a Big Data Engineer role with a UK-based e-gaming company. A well-established e-gaming company is searching for a Big Data Engineer with excellent Hadoop and Amazon Web Services experience (Amazon SQL and No

SQL services ideal) to join the UK office.

• Extensive experience administering, tuning, and debugging Apache Hadoop data warehouse installations (HDFS, Hue and related technologies).
• Familiar with automation configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or a similar.
• Extensive knowledge of SQL and MySQL (No
  
  SQL experience is advantageous, too, since we also use Redis & Cassandra technologies).
• Strong background in MySQL technology as well as data integration and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with a wide range of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required).
• Understanding of best practices and IT operations in a service that is always on and always available.
• Strong history in Linux/Unix administration and overall Dev Ops responsibilities.
• Some knowledge of programming and scripting (PHP, Python, Perl, and/or Ruby).
