This is a brand new role for a Project Engineer due to an internal promotion! Ideally, you’re an experienced Mechanical Engineer who can run simultaneous NPI projects at our West Midlands manufacturing facility and support our Eastern European manufacturing site. We manufacture a range of precision components, pressings, tooling design and sub assembly for the Automotive, Medical and Industrial markets.
SalaryUp to £55,000, dependent on your relevant experience.

Dudley, West Midlands. Also commutable to Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Bridgnorth, Cannock, Kidderminster, Telford, Walsall, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton.

Your first 6-12 months will be challenging – pushing your resilience, your commerciality and your project management capability to the test.
There will be processes in place that you would expect, and some will be non-existent. We need you to help us take ownership of this and drive it forwards.
Your role as our Project Engineer will be pivotal in putting in place better operational project KPI’s such as PPAP's, Right First Time, OTIF and that projects are running to budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities- Leading NPI projects (from concept to competition), developing project plans, project gateways and APQP deliverables.
- NPI tooling projects including new and customer owned tooling and/or from previous tooling suppliers. Running 4-5 NPI projects when up to speed. Projects varying from 6-24 months and carrying a monetary value of £200,000 - £2,000,000.
- Drive PPAP and ISIR submission activities with the engineering team.
- Communicate project expectations with customers through their life cycle.
- Manage all suppliers, toolmakers and subcontractors domestically and in EMEA.
- Support our in-house manufacturing.
- Have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Be competent delivering NPI projects within industrial, automotive or the medical sectors or similar.
- Have an understanding of APQP methodologies.
- Possess knowledge of tooling suppliers and in-house manufacturing.
- Have, ideally, a recognised project management qualification or experienced working to project management methodologies.
- Have experience of European manufacturing is a bonus as is a specific knowledge of pressings or stampings.
We are a multi-site manufacturer of precision parts, pressings and tooling to the Industrial, Automotive and Medical sectors.
It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services:
Project Manager, Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer, Process Engineer - NPI, new product introduction, project, tooling, pressings, automotive, medical, IATF, industrial, APQP, mechanical engineering, PPAP, OTIF.
