We’re excited to offer a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Accounts Specialist within our Accounts team to make a real impact.

There is no such thing as a typical day however your responsibilities would include:

• Take ownership of key areas within the accounts function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting

• Prepare monthly management accounts, providing clear insight to support business decision-making

• Work closely with budget holders and operational teams to understand performance and provide financial guidance

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, helping to track performance against plans

• Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies

• Assist with statutory accounts preparation and support external audits

• Improve and streamline processes to make the finance function more efficient and value-adding

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and relevant financial regulations

• Get involved in projects across the business, offering financial insight and supporting wider commercial goals

The kind of things that will help you stand out in this role:

• ACA/ACCA qualified

• Proven experience within an accountancy practice or similar environment

• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and compliance

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships

• Highly organised, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
