Overview:

We are now looking for a casual Domestic Assistant to join the team, helping to keep the residential home clean and safe for our residents, staff and visitors.
New Bradley Hall is a purpose built, dementia friendly home, offering the highest quality of residential care in a stylish and homely environment. The home provides 66 en-suite rooms across three floors, all furnished to the highest standard. There are a range of lounges and quiet rooms, so that individuals are able to enjoy a varied lifestyle. Within the home there is also a purpose built cinema room, on-site hairdressing facilities and a café area.
Our aim is to provide the right care, tailored to meet residents’ individual needs and preferences. We want to support residents to maximise their independence.

Job Description:
Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
To undertake bed making with the help of the residents, if they are capable, and if they are not, to do the task for them.?
To provide a high quality Housekeeping service for to ensure all areas of the home are cleaned to a high standard and that all linen and resident’s personal clothing/items are correctly laundered.??
To ensure that all areas of the Care Home are cleaned to a high standard in compliance with the specific cleaning guidelines and schedules and that they effectively meet the residents’ and homes needs.?
To collect dirty laundry and when time is available, deal with laundry.?
To check that all residents’ personal clothing and items are individually labelled, maintained in good repair, and returned to the correct resident in a timely manner after each laundry session.?
To check all areas of the home are supplied with adequate housekeeping items and inform the manager of any shortages.?
To understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act, to ensure a safe and efficient laundry service in the home. Understand and have an awareness of Infection Control.?
Person Specification:
Essential:
Experience of providing a domestic/cleaning service, ideally within a residential care setting.
Understanding of COSHH.
Understanding of Infection Prevention and Control.
Knowledge of care and safeguarding procedures.
Be comfortable with manual handling processes and able to carry these out in a safe manner.
