About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Engineer to join a global manufacturer of professional coffee and vending equipment.

This is a varied office and field-based role, providing technical support to customers and engineers while also travelling to customer sites to provide hands-on assistance.

You will become a technical specialist across a portfolio of commercial coffee machines, bean-to-cup systems and automated vending equipment, supporting installation, commissioning, fault diagnosis and ongoing maintenance.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with commercial coffee machines, with a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and electromechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers and field engineers.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical and software-related faults on commercial coffee machines.
Provide telephone and remote technical assistance.
Attend customer sites to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
Support installation, commissioning and servicing of coffee and vending equipment.
Configure, test and troubleshoot coffee machines and associated systems.
Assist engineers with technical queries and parts identification.
Produce technical reports and maintain accurate service records.
Liaise with internal engineering, product and service teams.
Provide technical guidance and training where required.
Identify recurring technical issues and contribute to product improvements.
Travel throughout the UK as required.

About You

Previous experience working with commercial coffee machines is essential.
Experience in technical support, field service or engineering.
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.

Experience with bean-to-cup, traditional espresso or vending machines would be highly advantageous.
Understanding of pumps, motors, valves, sensors and control systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
Confident communicating with customers and engineers.
Good IT and technical documentation skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Comfortable working between an office and customer-facing field environment.
