The Head of IT oversees infrastructure, security, and operational IT functions across a multi-site European business, delivering strategic leadership to enhance the company's technology capabilities. This pivotal role supports a long-established real estate organisation committed to maintaining a robust and cohesive IT environment.

The company operates within the real estate sector, managing multiple locations across the UK and Europe. It promotes a collaborative culture focused on strategic growth and technological improvement.

The Head of IT will lead and manage a UK-based team of four, setting IT standards and best practices across multiple sites. They will be responsible for improving infrastructure performance, including Wi‑Fi, device setup, and operational reliability, and overseeing core Microsoft and cloud infrastructure such as Entra  / Azure AD and Azure environments. The role involves working with a mixed estate that includes AWS-hosted services, SAP, on-prem servers, and regional data centres.

They will develop a cohesive IT and security strategy aligned across regions, supporting stronger security standards like Cyber Essentials Plus, and liaising with senior stakeholders to resolve operational issues effectively.

• Lead and manage a UK-based IT team of 4
• Set IT standards, policies, and best practice across multiple UK and European locations
• Improve infrastructure performance including Wi‑Fi, device setup, and operational reliability
• Oversee core Microsoft and cloud infrastructure, including Entra  / Azure AD and Azure environments
• Manage mixed environments including AWS, SAP, on-prem servers, and regional data centres
• Develop a joined-up IT and security strategy across regions
• Support the movement towards stronger security standards, including Cyber Essentials Plus
• Provide support to senior stakeholders and resolve urgent operational issues
• Demonstrate experience leading IT in a multi-site environment
• Show a strong infrastructure background to lead both strategy and delivery
• Possess good knowledge of Microsoft environments, including Entra  / Azure AD and Azure
• Be familiar with mixed environments spanning cloud, on-prem, networking, and end-user support
• Have prior experience working within Cyber Essentials frameworks
• Show stakeholder management and team leadership skills
• Have a pragmatic, approachable management style and strong culture fit
