Ribble Recruitment is supporting a growing MGA business with the appointment of three Commercial Insurance Underwriters due to continued expansion.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced underwriter, or an insurance/broking professional looking to transition into underwriting, to join a high-performing eTrade team within a fast-growing environment.

The Role

As a Commercial Insurance Underwriter, you will:

• Develop, negotiate, and profitably underwrite new business
• Secure renewals and process Mid-Term Adjustments (MTAs)
• Analyse risk and make informed underwriting decisions
• Build and maintain strong broker and stakeholder relationships
• Ensure compliance with underwriting governance and documentation standards
• Collaborate with sales, operations, capacity partners, and underwriting management
• Manage workload effectively to meet service standards and deadlines

Experience with in Property Owners, SME and/or Liability insurance would be highly advantageous.

• Strong negotiation and customer service skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Confident communication skills with brokers and stakeholders

Cert CII qualified (or working towards) - desirable.

Working Pattern

• Hybrid working model
• Minimum 2 days per week in the Brierley Hill office
• Full office attendance required during initial training
