About the role

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will support the procurement function by managing purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, monitoring deliveries, maintaining accurate purchasing data, and helping to ensure the timely supply of materials to support operational and customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Manage purchase orders and procurement processes to ensure timely delivery.
  • Liaise with suppliers and monitor deliveries to meet operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing data and track supplier performance.
  • Track KPIs such as purchase order accuracy, on‑time supplier delivery performance, stock availability, supplier response times, cost‑saving initiatives, and timely resolution of purchasing and supply chain issues.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an administrative, purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
